silver, ebony & rosewood

With our minimalist designs all the focus goes towards the shape and quality of our materials. Which is why the quality of these materials is absolutely paramount to us.

The timber I use complies with CITES (Convention of International Trade in Endangered Species) which is a governmental organisation for the protection of wild flora and fauna and also with the FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council)

The ebony comes from Africa and Madagascar and is logged by hand using power saws, after which it is carried out of the forests either by teams of men or animals. This ensures that the forests will not be destroyed. The local population tends to look after these trees and as they depend on them for their lifestyle they appreciate their rarity.

The Indian rosewood I am currently using has been in my stock for over 30 years.

Our silver is high quality and resistant to tarnish. We have chosen not to hallmark the silver where we feel it would compromise the clean minimal look of our designs.

Cleaning
Polish silver with impregnated silver polishing cloth.
Ebony and rosewood can be polished with wax furniture polish.
Titanium should be cleaned with a clean moist cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaning cloths or fluids.

Do not immerse in water or silver polish liquid.
